We have buses that bring the children to camp the morning of each session and buses that bring them back to the city at the end of each session. Parents may drop their child off and pick their child up directly from camp. An email will be sent with times prior to the beginning and end of each session. For out of town children we offer an airport pickup morning of camp departure only for the first session. Return drop off at the airport is offered for both sessions. There is a charge for the airport service.
Please make sure all belongings have your child’s name on it. Items look identical and individual items are difficult to identify without a label. We have a lost and found where campers and staff can go to the PA office and check to see if anything was turned in for them.
No camper will be forced to participate in any activity. However, we do urge campers to try all activities and take advantage of the complete program offered at Camp Gan Israel.
Water is served at every meal. We also have water fountains spread out throughout campgrounds.
You need to get in touch with a head counselor via email or call the main office. The secretary will let the head counselor know. The head counselor will get back to you.
You can email the camp at firstname.lastname@example.org leave contact information and he will call you back as soon as he is able.
Once a week an outside laundry company picks up all the laundry. Each camper gets his own laundry bag and his laundry is returned to him 2 days later cleaned.
You can do that online in the parent dashboard once your son has been accepted. You can add to it periodically during the session.
Please don’t. Packages with food will not be given out to campers. Our camp has a fully stocked canteen which your son has the opportunity to order from every day. Plus there are snack and drink machines in the main lobby.
Prior to the end of each session we will send you a list of your child’s counselors and learning teacher and waiter along with a payment method to receive a tip.
Grades 3 through 6 can wear long pants and shorts. Long pants are preferable because the boys spend most of the time outdoors in the grass. Tee shirts should be image and slogan free. Our Bar Mitzvah Division boys should only wear long pants. They need to wear button down shirts to all 3 tefillos every day. They can wear image free tee shirts for sports activities.
