Dear Parents שי׳,

At the Farbrengen of Shavuos 5716/1956, when the Rebbe first spoke about the idea of establishing Camp Gan Israel, the Rebbe compared “Gan” to the “Gan” — 53 — parshiyos of the Torah, highlighting that each child is a letter in a Sefer Torah scroll.

Iy”H this Friday, 21 Av, 8/15, for the first time in our 70-year history, Camp Gan Israel will be starting to write our very own Sefer Torah!
Bez”H the Torah will be completed next summer in camp and will remain there.

As parents of current campers, we would like to give you the first opportunity to contribute to this historic project by purchasing letters for your children in this Sefer Torah.
